Synopsis: Antoinette is the flirty Duchess of Langeais, who can have any man she wants. General Armand de Montriveau falls madly in love with Antoinette, but she playfully rebuffs his advances. When Montriveau's unrequited passion eventually builds to a hot boil, Antoinette finally decides to declare her love in return. But by that time, it may be too late.
