Synopsis: This biopic tells the real-life story of Ian Curtis, a disaffected teenager in 1970s-era England who helped found the band Joy Division. While the band showed much early promise, Curtis was tormented by severe depression. Curtis also married at a very young. As the marriage slowly crumbled and Curtis suffered from epilepsy, he eventually took his own life at the age of 23, just as Joy Division was poised to become one of the most influential bands of the 1980s.
“You don't watch this movie, you live it.”
